Great sushi, lots of options and creative house rolls. One of the only sushi places I know that still does fried ice cream, so that's a plus for me. Reasonable lunch specials. Good pricing and convenient location with street parking. Quick service but haven't been there when it's really busy. Simple interior. My go-to sushi spot for the moment.

We went here on Saturday for a brunch. The service was good, and we were not expecting the bonuses that came with our order. Had I read the menu correctly, I would have ordered something else so that we could get the discount on our entire meal. I ordered the lunch special Ramen, and it tasted okay but it was a lot of food which is good. Parking was a little tough, as it is street parking only, but otherwise accessible. I like the intro salad that they gave us, as it was flavorful.

I've eaten in this place at least a dozen times (if not more) so it's finally time to drop that review. Overall, this place is clutch for Japanese at an affordable price. I mean seriously, where can you get a hefty Omakase for 2 for 65??!! When I say hefty, I mean THICK pieces of sashimi for each fish and it comes as 4 pieces vs that weird 3 piece sashimi count where you're always wondering who should grab that last piece. Other fabulous stuff to order: *Hamachi Kama - Gigantic portion. Really great value on top of it being very tasty. *Fried oysters - That is, if you didn't have the Omakase for 2 that already has it in the mix :) *Kushiyaki Combo - Can't seem to ever leave without someone ordering this. *Favorite a la carte sushi - Uni, Hotate, Otoro and Ikura - Quality is excellent and the portion size is WOW. *Omori Sushi Flight combo - This one is a special. It had a Wagyu, Uni and Toro and we usually order at least 2 of these. It's that good! *Squid with spicy roe Service is always fast and efficient. Only thing I've ever experience there that could be improved is more highchairs! I found out in a bad way that they only have 4 total in the restaurant.

The sushi here is amazing. So fresh and large portions for the price. The O-Toro Nigiri was large and delicious. Will definitely be back!

Quincy's Omori Izakaya. It was very good, very good food attentive staff. They had a drink special that offered $7 cocktails. Our son's first legal beverage was a Mai Tai . Very large menu filled with many appetisers. Hamachi Kama is my son's favourite. We explored the menu extensively. Not a disappointment among everything. The check came and it was half of what Fuji woc cost and much better. They offered a 10% discount for cash.

We ordered takeout and ate at home this time. The spicy salmon, crazy, ginza, shrimp tempura, and spider maki were so good I forgot to take photos! Lately, I've been into Sake Don and Ikura Sake Don. Salmon was nice and fresh (no fishy smell or taste), rice was not dry or too soggy, and radish was nice and crunchy. I wish the salmon was sliced slightly thinner but the amount was perfect. The spicy salmon roll was definitely also a highlight... 10/10! Also, the soy sauce packets were better quality than your typical cheap kikkoman. Service was quick and efficient, my delivery guy didn't have to wait for my order! Definitely highly recommend. I'll have to go back and eat in to try the skewers!

Omori Izakaya is a cute casual Japanese restaurant located in Quincy Center! I like how they have this complimentary Izakaya Salad which is their house cabbage salad with a vinegar sesame dressing. It's addicting! I've been here a handful of times for lunch and their lunch menu is where it's at. I like their "Build Your Own Maki" Lunch which you can choose from 2 rolls for $13.50 or 3 rolls for $18. I'm a big fan of their Spicy Salmon Maki and Crazy Maki. Their sushi is always very fresh and comes with large pieces of fish. It's a great price for good value. For appetizers, I've tried their Takoyaki which is just okay, not the best, but not the worst that I've had. I think the Takoyaki needed larger pieces of octopus since I felt like I mainly had dough. Their Softshell crab is pretty good though, but definitely on the pricier side, considering that I didn't get many pieces. The service was great, very attentive and friendly. I like that we got seated and greeted quickly. Although they're located in Quincy Center, they do have free street parking in front of the restaurant and a small parking lot for customers. If you can't find parking, there's a very affordable garage nearby (literally 2-minute walk away). Overall, nice spot in Quincy Center for a casual lowkey meal or a place to catch up with friends or for a date. There's something for everyone here. Would recommend coming here and giving this spot a try!

Solid sushi spot for no frills but big pieces of fish. Parking is limited to public parking, but behind the restaurant is a huge public lot. I think it's for the courthouse. They have a couple locations and we've had their omakase set before which was underwhelming. It's in a nice display but the fish didn't have a ton of seasoning to warrant the price. The hamachi Kama (yellow tail collar) was gigantic. I forgot to take a photo because it came last even though it was our appetizer.

Omori Izakaya hits that sweet spot. From the moment they welcomed us with their complimentary cabbage salad. Let's talk libations because they're doing something right here. Draft beers at $5.50 feel like a throwback to happier times, and they arrive properly frosty - exactly what you want when you're diving into skewers. House cocktails at $7? In this economy? Yes, please. What we got - Miso eggplant appetizer, showstopper here - velvety, umami-rich, and crave-worthy enough to justify a return visit! - Pork belly buns, delivered on flavor and value, though they could've benefited from being hotter - Beef skewer - Shishito pepper skewer - Sausage skewer - King oyster mushroom skewer (least favorite) Service deserves its own round of applause, very friendly without being overbearing. The bottom line: Omori Izakaya offers a delightful izakaya experience that won't break the bank. Come for the surprisingly reasonable drinks, stay for the miso eggplant, and enjoy the hospitality. Will be back to try their sushi.
